Chicken Scratch Christmas
Chicken Scratch is the social dance music of the Tohono O'odham ("Desert People") of the Sonoran desert and is most frequently heard on and near the Tohono O'odham, Gila River, and Pima Salt River reservations of central and southern Arizona. Chicken scratch is the happy go lucky rhythms of the waila (polka), chote, mazurka and cumbia and this is the first time the popular Christmas standards have been put to the chicken scratch sound.
