Palo Santo wood is used as an incense primarily by the peoples of Central and South America. It has a unique and pleasantly sweet aroma in its natural form. When burned, the smoke is said to clear negative thoughts and evil spirits in much the same manner as the sage used by Native Americans. It is from the same genus (Bursera) as the tree that most copal comes from (Bursera microphylla). Our Palo Santo is in small stick form. The sticks average about 4 inches in length and about 1/2 inch in diameter. We offer them in packages of 6 sticks which is about 1¼ to 1½ ounces or packages measured by weight. Our Palo Santo is sourced in Ecuador.
