The West as a Romantic Horizon
A great book that presents a fine selection paintings by Karl Bodmer (1809-1893) and Alfred Jacob Miller (1810-1874). Both of these artists were some of the first people to document the American Indians in the 19th century. Also presented are works from more than 30 lesser know artists from the period. There are lots of great little line drawings of pipe bowls, clubs, parfleche, and more. This is a very nice, high quality book. Please note that this book is out of print. We were able to obtain a small quantity but these are limited to stock on hand. Mint, new condition books.
