Dakota Grammar
Originally published as Dakota Grammar, Texts, and Ethonography by the United States Department of the Interior. This is one of the earliest documentations of the Dakota language. It covers the alphabet, accents, pronouns, verbs, tenses, syntax, gender, and much more. Stephen Riggs authored the text but died in 1883 before it was published. It was later edited and presented for publication by James Owen Dorsey.
