War Dance Songs
The War Dance takes on many different names from North America’s various tribes. Some tribes refer to the dance as a Grass Dance. To the Crow, the War Dance is known as a Hot Dance. The War Dance is not necessarily celebrating the taking of a life, but pride in the tribe’s good medicine. The dance they performed was a celebration of their good fortune as members of a family, a society, a clan and a tribe. It was a dance based in pride. Arbor Records and Night Hawk hope you enjoy these traditional War Dance Songs!
